I adapted your technique and used a similiar setting for my 3440x1440 screen. Settings are: Hud Width: 1920, Hud Height: 1440, Hud X: 760 (this feels right for me, crosshair is now nicely lined up with bulletholes.) Hud Y: 0. Let me know if this works for you QHD Monitor guys out there or if you even have a better solution. Only cons i see so far is that the huds color scheme clips off left and right but i think thats okay for what was achieved already:).€dit: Tested on ME2. I have read what Helix Mod does.
I dont think it is the solution I am looking for. All it enables you to do is switching off the crosshair AND the targets but that is not what I want. We have to find a way to control the red and blue target reticles seperately from the crosshair. Problem is, it seems as if the target reticles and crosshair is somehow linked in code, at least in ME2. So whenever i edit the code or try to remove a portion of it the whole crosshair and red reticles disappear. That might not sound too bad but since we dont have ironsight aiming in this game and the sniper for example relies solely on that digital crosshair it is unplayable.
So I have to find a way how to just switch off or edit the position of the red reticles or in your case blue and red reticles.I cannot believe how there aren't way more people bothered with this. Are we the only ones:D?.

Just purchased and started playing Mass Effect for the first time - another game I missed during my 15 year gaming exile. Just a few hours in and loving it so far but when I set the resolution to 3440x1440 I'm losing some of the view around all sides which means the hud isn't visible and the I can't select some things from the menus. When I set it to 1920x1080 it automatically stretches the game to fill the screen which looks terrible - everything has jagged edges.I've looked for a config.dll file but can't fine the usual text to alter. Can anyone help me? Thanks for this guys. How to I actually apply it to the game?
I've downloaded it and selected Mass Effect but is hasn't changed the appearance in the game. Am I missing something?Where is says configure settings and launch game as in the above screenshot - is there somewhere in the Flawless Widescreen application to configure the settings or what?Is there a way of launching the game directly from Flawless Widescreen?Edit: Ok so I've started playing with the Display Detection configuration settings and I can see the changes I've made making a difference but can't get them set right - can anyone advise what the settings should be. The automatic display detection is picking it up correctly.Arrrgh this is driving me nuts. So I've learned you need to press CTRL ALT Z to activate the fix but it's still not right. I've tried every combination of setting I can think of - I'm close but can't get the correct FOV along with the HUD and menus to display fully. HELLLP!Got it! Good old google and some experimentation prevails in the end.
For anyone else trying this, here is as close as I could get to perfect in the Display Setting configuration I manually entered:Width: 3440 Height: 1440 HUD Width: 1920 (HUD will get cut off if any wider) HUD Height: 1440 HUD X: 328 HUD Y: 1440. Thanks for this guys. How to I actually apply it to the game? I've downloaded it and selected Mass Effect but is hasn't changed the appearance in the game.

Please if you have any questions or concerns. Resolution Scaling forces the game to run internally at a resolution that's different then the resolution you've set.The advantage to scaling over changing your resolution is that jumps between resolutions are substantial while scaling is not. 1920x1080 is 2.07 million pixels but changing to 2560x1440 is 3.7 million pixels. Free chegg account username and password 2018. That's a 70% increase in pixels!
Scaling allows you to fine tune quality and performance. If your resolution is set to 1920x1080 and you set the Resolution Scaling to 100%, internally the game is being rendered at 1920x1080 and displayed at 1920x1080. If you set the Scaling to 50% then the game renders at 960x540 but will still output at 1920x1080. This greatly increases performance will come at a large reduction to quality as everything looks blurred and aliased. If you set Scaling to 150% then the game internally is rendered at 2880x1620 but outputs at 1920x1080. The game looks substantially better but comes at an impact to performance.
Force borderless windowed mode citation needed. Set the game to run in windowed mode in the in-game video settings, make sure it's set to the same resolution as your desktop. Close the game. Make sure you haven't set the game to run in compatibility mode for XP nor Vista, the former causes borderless to be glitchy and the latter leads to a crash. Compatibility mode for 7 (if you're running 8+) is fine, should you need it. Install. Go to BioGameSplash.
Delete or rename Splash.bmp, this prevents Borderless Gaming from making the splash window borderless, as this causes a crash for unknown reasons. Be aware that the MEUITM mod adds a new splash image, so be sure to re-delete/rename it again should you choose to install/reinstall it. Run the game and wait for it to get to the main menu. Run Borderless Gaming, click Mass Effect on the left panel, click the arrow pointing to the right.
In a few moments the game window should become borderless fullscreen. If Borderless Gaming isn't making the game borderless try running Borderless Gaming as administrator. Issues unresolved Some menu screens have sides 'cut off' on 4:3 screen resolutions Playing in 4:3 resolutions like 1600x1200(useful for non-widescreen monitors and projectors) results in some menu screens displaying incorrectly: the left and right hand sides of the screen are clipped (as if 'zoomed in' too far), so important information cannot be seen (like journal details and the map legend). Screens affected include: Map, Party Selection, Planet details, and Journal.
Currently the only known fix is to use a 16:9 screen resolution when playing, like 1920x1080.People and objects become black. IGameExplorer - Verify Access.
